How long does it take to plan and build a house?
It depends on the size of the house and how ready your plot is, but most projects run from a few weeks of planning and design through several months of construction. We give you a realistic timeline once we've seen the plot and agreed on the plan.
Do I need a survey or ground assessment before building?
Yes. Ground conditions vary a lot from plot to plot, and a proper assessment tells us how to prepare the foundation correctly. Skipping this step is one of the most common causes of problems later in a build.
Can you work from a design I already have, or do you create the plans?
Both. If you already have house plans or a design in mind, we can review and build from them. If you're starting from scratch, our architectural design service will take your ideas and turn them into workable plans.
What's included in ground works?
Ground works cover clearing the site, levelling the land and preparing the foundation — everything that needs to happen before construction itself can start. It's carried out to match the approved building plan.
